Melbourne is red and white tonight!

On the ground tonight at AAMI park Melbourne Heart will be pressing for a win to avoid finishing bottom of the ladder and to give Harry Kewell a winning farewell. However in the stands the final game of the season against Western Sydney will be marked by a proud display of the club’s colours.

A section of dedicated fans have organised #KeepTheRedAndWhite to demonstrate to the club’s new owners the passion behind the club’s foundation colours. Red White Unite are supportive of the group’s efforts tonight in what could be the last game for ‘Melbourne Heart’ as we’ve come to love it.

The group made it clear in a press release this week that they “welcome the investment from our new owners and hope that the campaign will encourage the new owners to keep Melbourne’s colours of red and white.” You can be part of tonight’s activities by holding a ‘Keep Melbourne Red and White’ placard (limited number available!) or just wearing / displaying a lot of red and white. In the near future the supporters association will meet with the club to discuss changes to the club.

Go Heart! And thanks Harry Kewell for your leadership at the club this season!
